FOUNDER, CURRICULUM DIRECTOR

With a unique background in engineering and teaching, AbdurRehman brings a gold-mine of knowledge on best teaching practices and problem-based curricula. He is a licensed teacher (grades 6-12) with endorsements in Math, Technology Education, and STEM & Energy Systems. He works as a full-time educator at one of the best high schools in Illinois, where he teaches dual-credit engineering/robotics classes. He is CPR and First Aid trained. In the past, he worked as a math curriculum developer and an engineer.  AbdurRehman believes in a growth mindset, and actively seeks opportunities to develop both personally and professionally. His hobbies include playing various sports and video games, listening to podcasts, riding his bike, and gardening.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Hala has an educational background in computer science, with the ability to hack her brother’s phone! She is a former elementary school teacher. She is deeply invested in children’s education and she is constantly learning about various educational philosophies. The STEM class at AIM Academy is run by her. She loves to read, sew, and dabble in messy craft projects. Her newfound fascination with fitness has led her to join Fitness by Maryam, a women-only gym.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Rumla is a a civil engineer by profession, a fancy way of saying, “she (tries to) make sure your buildings don’t collapse.” She is an avid reader of all things fantasy with a slight Lord of the Rings obsession. She owns too many books without enough space to store them. She likes to write and paint, too.
